" Our trip was wonderful, we really have NO complaints. We stayed at the Grand Oasis Palm and we able to use both resorts! Beach was amazing and the ocean is shallow and safe for kids to swim in front of both resorts. Food was great, beach bar has the best burgers! The evening shows were good, staff were great and we enjoyed the Fiesta on the beach. The excursions were great, everything was very clean and well-maintained and we always felt safe. Thank you so much! "
" to all,
I am home since last friday as I went on cruise on may 18rh until may 22nd. the cruise was wonderufl. there were 10 deafblind plus 16 certificate deaf interpreters plus 24 hearing ssps/interpreters. angela and jody did wonderful jobs trying to get enough ssps and terps for all of us.
our royal carribbean cruise liners (rccl) cruise was lovely. we went to bahamas. it was great. donna from pa. did enjoy swimming with her new playmate andy the dolphin. donna is deafblind herself. and she has blast, and one elderly deafblind woman named lorraine from pittsburhg came along with donna and me. the meals were wonderful as there are buffet meals. I did go on pirates museum in nassau, bahamas. I am history buff.
on coco cay, it is one mile island owned by rccl and it is pleasant relaxing. rccl provide picnic meal for all of us. Ii there were snorkeling, kayaking, jetskiing, water slides, and others. I did manage to go on wonderful moment as I was with small group to stingray ranch, and we pet and fed stingrays as most are more like puppies. they are loveable.
on key west, it was great. I was surprised to locate a restaurant that serves sloppy joes sandwiches. through my life, I never find a place where they do serve sloppy joes sandwiches until key west was the first time. very delicious. there are many tours on key west. it is wonderful.
anyway, I know that dna travels is doing good job with deafblind group. dna travelrs are planning for either hawaii, or alaska, or somewhere. I am waiting to hear when dna travels is ready, then I will keep yo posted. I suggest for yo to ponder for your db children to have wonderufl tactile time with something. so please prepare for future tours when dna travels is ready. wink!

" Kal Shores was an amazing place to stay. For some it may seem like it is not close to anything as it is not in Hilo or Kona but I think that is the great thing about it.
It is not far from the amazing sites of the black sand beach, a short drive to the volcanoes national park, Champagne pond and Ahalanui are just down the road, and you can't miss people watching in Pahoa, a real authentic "throw-back" town with the best food! The house has all the amenities that you would want or need. A hot tub soak after hiking the crater rim trail.
I would stay here over and over again. I just have to thank you for helping me out last minute too. Big Mahalos! ”
This is Ellen E., My family just rented your Kalapana Shores home for my mothers wedding and vacation from Jan. 12th-25th. We enjoyed ourselves very much and were so comfortable in your home. We were blessed to have learned about your place from my friend Luz in Hawaii. We were able to go to Uncle Roberts a couple times and see whales and dolphins in front of the home a couple of times.
Thank you as well for having things for us to utilize like snorkeling and noodles to float on in hot ponds and tide pools. We had an amazing time while visiting The Big Island. It rained the day of the wedding so we were so happy and blessed to have the covered lanai to hold the wedding on and still have plenty of room and beautiful sites and pictures for the wedding.
Our trip was fantastic!! Everything went flawlessly! We fell in love with London. Walked everywhere! The highlights were standing on Abbey Road (I'm such a Beatles fan) and the Chelsea game.
Best time of my life! Lavonne was great. Our accommodations were nice and right in the heart of everything.
For spring break my daughter and her friend went back to Isla Mujeres! They had s blast! We do love that island. :)
Thanks for all you've done Angela! You'll always have my business!

" INCREDIBLE is how I would describe, in one word, our experience with DNA Travels. Angela facilitated travel arrangements for 60 friends and family members traveling from eight states to Cancun to attend our destination wedding. The festivities were a year in the making, during which time, Angela ensured that our wedding plans through the resort were smooth sailing. Two months prior to our wedding, our guest confirmations delightfully grew beyond our expectations. However, to our dismay, rather than trying to accommodate our larger group size, the resort onsite wedding planner suggested I change our wedding day and time. In a moment, I lost confidence with the resort and felt I had no options. However, Angela swiftly stepped in and handled the issue with the resort. Everything thereafter, and on our wedding day, came together perfectly! Angela's commitment, hard work, experience, communication, and professionalism contributed to such a magnificent, magical, and unforgettable experience!! It truly was the best day ever!! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you SO very much for your energy, love, and kindness! "

" Kalapana Shores Vacation Home! Amazing Place! We stayed in January and just now getting around to signing your guest book. Volcano viewing was awesome!
Your home on the Big Island was very clean when we arrived, very cozy and had everything we needed. We saw a whole new side of Hawaii staying here. Not a touristy spot so you meet all the wonderful residents of the area and there is so much to see if you tour around. Beautiful spot, we had an amazing vacation here! Thanks so much! "

We loved staying in this house!! It was spacious, organized, and had everything that you would need.
The neighbors were so fun and friendly. The location
was perfect! We wished we could have stayed longer!
Regarding our wedding ceremony, Derryn was absolutely wonderful to work with. We had a couple session before our big day that drew us even closer to each other. Our actual "day" couldn't have gone any better. Derryn was very organized and incorporated everything we wanted in a ceremony and more! We recommend her to anyone thinking of getting married. Your big day will be just as magical as ours.
You can't find a better getaway than Kalapana Shores! Spacious and beautifully well-kept, this is the perfect place to stay on the Big Island. It's a convenient starting point if you'd like to explore Hilo or Volcanoes National Park, and just outside the front door, you'll find a lovely scenic drive along the coast.
The house itself has wonderful amenities and plenty of helpful information about sights, shopping, food, and fun! As you soak in the sunshine, enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Big Island.
One word of warning - after you step onto the lanai and see the spectacular views of the ocean and rolling hills of volcanic rock, you may be tempted to jump in the hot tub and spend your entire vacation enjoying that view!
Eight friends rented Kalapana Shores as our home base. It was perfect--offering enough seating, two kitchens, ample bathrooms and private bedrooms.
We loved the huge lanai and the hot tub was an added benefit. The owners provided books loaded with information about things to do in the area. I would definitely stay there again. Have an awesome day!
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip to San Francisco. It was my first visit there and I so enjoyed every minute of it (yes even the car sickness).
You & Derryn did an awesome job with every adventure we had and we saw some amazing scenery!! I will treasure my memories from there as well as you & Derryn and your beautiful son
Just stay in Hawaii!!!! The weather is FREEZING here!!
